kinetic

refers to motion; in the context of kinetic energy, it refers to the energy that an object possesses due to its motion

Boyle’s law

states that for a fixed amount of gas at a constant temperature, the pressure of the gas is inversely proportional to its volume; this means that if the volume decreases, the pressure increases, and vice versa
