Dietitian

Dietitians are experts in food and nutrition who help people make healthy dietary choices. In the UK, they often work within the NHS, private practice, or community settings, providing advice to individuals and groups about how diet affects health and wellbeing. Their work involves assessing clients' nutritional needs, creating tailored meal plans, and educating people about managing health conditions such as diabetes, food allergies, obesity, or eating disorders. Dietitians also work alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans. To become a dietitian, you need to complete an approved degree in dietetics and register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
